EDI integration services for Odoo

EDI integration services can mean network transport, translation software, consulting, mapping, testing, onboarding or managed support. Those are different jobs, even when providers use the same label.

This page separates them, walks the work an integration actually contains, and says plainly how an engagement with us runs.

Three kinds of company, one label

  • The network operators

SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, Rithum. They own the rails between you and your trading partners and sell carriage as a subscription. When your mandate names one, that decision is made, and what they leave open is everything inside your building.

  • The transport and translation vendors

VAN operators and translator software companies. They move and convert documents, competently, and stop at your ERP's edge. The mapping and the landing remain yours.

  • The integrators

The category we are in. An integrator works on the ERP side of the seam: orders landing as sales orders, ship notices leaving from real deliveries, feeds reading live stock, and a person who answers when a document fails. Ours is built for Odoo specifically.

What the work actually contains

Mapping first. Every trading partner arrives speaking their own dialect: their item numbers, their location codes, their casepacks, their windows. Mapping is the set of decisions that translates their vocabulary into your Odoo, made once per partner, and it is business judgement wearing a technical costume. The person who runs your order desk belongs in that conversation.

Testing second, and it is the longer half. Each partner runs its own test cycle, on its own schedule, against its own guideline, and it ends when they say it ends. Documents go back and forth, failures get read, mappings get corrected, and somebody sits with it until the partner flips you to production. Budgeting the testing thin is the classic way these projects go late.

After go-live, which is where it is actually won

An integration that works on cutover day is the start. Partners change guidelines, items get added, casepacks change, certificates expire, and one morning a document fails for a reason nobody has seen before. EDI that keeps working is EDI somebody watches: queues read every morning, and a person with access on the end of the phone. Left unwatched, it bleeds deductions quietly.

That standing watch is what the managed half of this trade sells, under names like managed services and outsourcing. Whatever the name, ask the same two questions: who sees the failure first, and how fast does a person with access act on it.

How an engagement with us runs

It starts free: the Requirement Check reads your mandate and returns a plain readout of the documents, the route and the Odoo changes it implies. Scoping the work itself is the first paid step, so the cost of deciding is never hidden inside the cost of doing.

Delivery is remote, and the shape follows the work above: mapping with your people in the room, the partner test cycle run to their finish line, go-live inside a planned window, and then the watch. Everything we connect answers to the same rule the whole site repeats: the documents leave from records Odoo already keeps, because that is what makes them right.

Where your situation fits: the software landscape, the API boundary, the supply-chain flow, the US programmes, the Canadian ones, and the documents themselves.

Start with the letter

The Requirement Check takes two answers: who mandated you and where you stand today. You get back a plain readout of which documents that customer asks for and what has to change inside your Odoo. It is free, it commits you to nothing, and scoping the work itself comes after it and is paid, so you know what the next step costs before you take it.
